This distinction is the starting point of SHIKI, the new Atelier Mirage collection designed by Studio Hasuike, where every formal choice stems from a precise principle: measure as an act of balance, not reduction.
SHIKI is a compositional system where ceramic becomes the grammar of space. Inspired by tatami, which for centuries has shaped Japanese living through module rather than meter, SHIKI translates this principle into a contemporary language. Here, installation is not a technical detail but the moment when design takes form: a dialogue between modules, rhythms and directions that allows designers to create unique environments, balancing seamless continuity and controlled visual tension

Each Shiki color is composed of two slab types, with and without edging, interacting to generate different rhythms: definition or continuity, articulation or extension. Shiki Graphite strips and small tiles introduce a second visual layer, enabling compositions where every accent is precisely calibrated.
